This is not a post about The Voice, rather the “voice” when one writes on different mediums.
For instance, when I write articles that are featured at the company blog, the tone is more professional, less personality – i suppose – and overall formal. When I write in my blog (you’re currently reading it), the tone is more informal, bordering on rambling, asides, and perhaps just free flow than others.
I’ve recently created a substack account, which I feel I would like to write in a more column-style voice, with topics that are not as mundane as the ones that you read here. Granted, my friends usually prefer my blog because they can hear me through my writing versus the other kind.
In the past, I’ve made attempts to make this website a more formal medium, with some posts done in a different way. I suppose thats simply because I was experimenting on things.
My last post was in September, and the first episode of the podcast has not yet been recorded. My friend and I struggle a bit to find time as we are both adults and “adulting is hard.” But that will come in December, hopefully, which is a weird time to start. Podcasts is one way to hear your voice right?
I have second thoughts about writing as actively as used to, but I would like to resume this exercise as a way to stretch my brain. I have considered putting thoughts on Instagram as well, but I fear there are far too many stalkers watching my feed.
In here, however, I have noticed that my stats are near zero so it should be okay to ramble and see where my thoughts lead me. Do not fret, I will not share gory details of my boring existence, but perhaps share thoughts, ideas or so.
Until next time then.
